IMBA Epic Trails

IMBA Epic Trails

Arkansas is being recognized on the national level for innovative trail building and the diversity of riding opportunities. The state is home to five International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) EPIC rides, which means they are a “true backcountry riding experience – one that is technically and physically challenging, more than 80 percent singletrack and at least 20 miles in length.” The Upper Buffalo, Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT), Ouachita National Recreation Trail, Syllamo and Womble trails put Arkansas on the podium next to Colorado and California.

Syllamo Mountain Bike Trail

Located in the Sylamore District of the Ozark National Forest north of Mountain View, the most single-track trail offers over 50 miles for novice to advanced bikers. The trail consists of five interconnecting loops accessible from the trailhead on Ark. 5, plus three trailheads on Green Mountain Road.
