Monument Trails

Find your flow on a Monument Trail

Monument Trails highlight the unique and scenic terrain of Arkansas State Parks.

The Monument Trails offer a standout outdoor adventure for mountain bike riders, hikers and trail runners looking to experience some of the state’s best views and access to unique landscapes of state parks. These world-class trail systems showcase diverse terrain and scenic landscapes across several state park destinations.

With a majority of the Monument Trails designed for shared use, routes welcome riders, hikers and runners of all skill levels and provide an active way to explore the natural beauty found throughout the park system.

Monument Trails are located at Devil’s Den, Hobbs, Mount Nebo and Pinnacle Mountain state parks, each offering a distinct experience.

At Hobbs State Park–Conservation Area, the state’s largest park, the Monument Trails made their debut, setting the standard for what would follow. Pinnacle Mountain State Park opened previously inaccessible terrain, giving riders an entirely new way to experience the landscape. Mount Nebo State Park delivers sweeping views, winding rock gardens and miles of trail to explore. Devil’s Den State Park brings a deep connection to the sport’s history as the home of Arkansas’ first designated mountain bike trail.

The Monument Trails were named best mountain biking trails in the U.S. by Outside Magazine in 2023. No matter the destination, every ride promises a monumental experience on the trail.
