There’s guided horseback riding at Lake Catherine State Park. Venture through the rolling hills and beautiful forests of Crowley's Ridge at Village Creek State Park. Head to Devil's Den State Park to take in the picturesque views of the Ozark Mountain valley, which features over 20 miles of horse trails.
With plenty of options for both leisurely afternoon rides and full-day journeys, there’s always a new corner of The Natural State waiting to be discovered from the saddle.

Mountain Harbor Riding Stables
Guided trail rides through the Ouachita Mountains and along the shores of Lake Ouachita; open spring, summer and fall; reservations for large groups requested.
Barnyard Friends and Stables
Atop Petit Jean Mountain, they offer hands-on farm fun and horseback riding for families across Petit Jean State Park, Morrilton, Russellville and the River Valley.
Lake Catherine State Park
Guided horseback rides are offered seasonally. Though not required, reservations are recommended and to make horseback riding reservations call 501-262-0777.
Village Creek State Park
There are 33 miles of multi-use trails, campgrounds with bathhouses, an equestrian campground with stable facilities (includes class B campsites), 10 cabins, two lakes, a day-use area with pavilions and picnic sites, outdoor and indoor theaters, a small museum, and a visitor center with a gift shop.
Devil’s Den State Park
The park’s hiking, backpacking, mountain bike, and horseback riding trails lead to the surrounding Ozark National Forest.
