Top Things To Do in Fayetteville During Razorback Game Day Weekends

Game Day Weekends

The electric atmosphere of SEC football transforms Fayetteville into Arkansas' most exhilarating weekend destination.

When the Arkansas Razorbacks play, the college town of Fayetteville pulses with energy you won’t find anywhere else in The Natural State. From tailgating and watch parties to calling the Hogs at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, there’s nothing like the feel of an SEC football game day.

While Fayetteville is home to the University of Arkansas, the city also boasts a vibrant arts and culture scene that game day fans love.

Whether you’re a die-hard Hog fan or cheering for the visiting team, here’s your insider's guide to making the most of your football weekend in Fayetteville (or any Razorback sports event):

Dickson Street

This legendary entertainment district connects campus to downtown with unique retail shops, restaurants, bars and live music venues. From pre-game drinks and eats to post-game celebrations, Dickson Street remains the epicenter of Razorback revelry.

Historic Downtown Square

Fayetteville’s downtown square is known for its beautiful gardens and one of the longest-running farmers markets in Arkansas, held Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from spring through early fall. Alongside fresh flowers and produce, you’ll find handmade goods, art and live music. Storefronts surrounding the square are home to restaurants and bars serving breakfast through dinner. Local boutiques are full of Razorback apparel. It’s a vibrant spot to visit during your game day.

Outdoor Refreshment Area

Connecting Dickson Street and the downtown square, Fayetteville’s Outdoor Refreshment Area lets you stroll in specially marked zones while enjoying adult beverages from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. More than 60 businesses participate, and signs mark the district boundaries. Drinks are served in eco-friendly cups, and participants (21 and up) must wear branded wristbands to carry drinks outdoors. The environmentally friendly cups can be disposed of in recycling receptacles.
