Summer Solstice Celebration

The Plum Bayou Culture built this unique mound complex over 1,000 years ago. Activities at this ceremonial center may have included games, feasts, and other special celebrations. Visitors will have an opportunity to play a Native American game beginning at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy a guided walking tour of the site beginning at 7 p.m. Visitors are invited to watch the sunset from Mound H at the conclusion of the tour. All activities are dependent on weather conditions.
