Our trails showcase the state’s varied terrain, winding through forests abundant with wildlife, traveling through historic sites seeped in Arkansas history, and coursing through mountain terrain and along rivers and streams.
You will find hiking trails at state parks across Arkansas. Mount Magazine State Park has many trails to discover including the Signal Hill Trail, which leads to the highest point in Arkansas. At Mount Nebo State Park inspiring views can be found at many spots including the park’s Rim Trail, which circles the mountaintop. Petit Jean State Park, the state’s first state park, has many trails to trek on including Cedar Falls Trail, which leads to one of the tallest continuously flowing waterfalls in Arkansas. At Village Creek State Park, the second largest state park in Arkansas, one can hike through the forest of a unique geographic region known as Crowley's Ridge.
